Electronic Registration of Title Documents
Updated Document Registration Agreement - March 2004
(PDF) | (MS Word)
Electronic registration of title documents is currently being implemented by the Ministry of Government Services (MCBS) on a county-by-county basis. In each county, it is first introduced on an optional basis; after a period of time, it is made mandatory. See the rollout schedule.
To support its members during this process the Law Society together with the OBA established a Joint committee on electronic registration of title documents .
The Law Society also produced practice guidelines (pdf) and other resources to assist members and, together with the OBA, is offering educational sessions corresponding with each rollout phase.
