Filing the Paralegals Annual Report

Paralegal Annual Report

Purpose

Under By-law 8, Part II all licensed paralegals must submit a Paralegal Annual Report to the Law Society by March 31 each year. Paralegals provide details regarding their provision of legal services and financial activities during the preceding year in this report.

Who This Applies To

Paralegals licensed by the Law Society must submit an Annual Report in order to maintain their licence.

Reporting Requirements

Non-compliance

Failure to submit the Paralegal Annual Report by March 31st each year will result in administrative suspension for non-compliance. See the Administrative Suspension page for more information.

Review Process

The Administrative Compliance department reviews all paper reports for incomplete and/or blank responses. If a report is incomplete, an AC Representative contacts the paralegal to request additional information.

Amendments to annual reports must be submitted in writing along with a signed disclaimer giving permission to amend the Annual Report.

E-filing the Paralegal Annual Report saves time and ensures that all responses are complete before the form can be submitted.

Administrative Fees

There is no fee to file the Paralegal Annual Report.

Section F: If e-filing, it is important to remember your Password exactly as it was created in the Application for Access in order to submit your report.
