Inter-provincial Mobility
The Law Society of Upper Canada's adoption of the National Mobility Agreement and By-law 4 s. 9 (2) and Part VII facilitated the implementation of permanent mobility and the occasional practice of law in Ontario by lawyers from reciprocating Canadian jurisdictions.
Inter-provincial Mobility includes:
- the occasional practice of law by lawyers from reciprocating jurisdictions under the National Mobility Agreement and By-law 4, Part VII s. 40-45 or lawyers from non-reciprocating jurisdictions under By-law 4, Part VII s. 46-52
- permanent mobility or transferring to Ontario from reciprocating Canadian jurisdictions under the National Mobility Agreement and By-law 4 s. 9(2)
- application for licence by way of licensing examinations for lawyers from non-reciprocating Canadian jurisdictions under By-law 4 s. 9 (1)
