Honour Roll

This section of the exhibition provides profiles of the lawyers and law students who lost their lives in the First World War and whose names are inscribed on the memorial in the Great Library at Osgoode Hall.

The names on the Roll of Honour are spelled as they appear on the war memorial, followed by the person's full name. Where spellings of names are inconsistent, the full name is the version that Law Society records indicate is most likely correct.

The biographical information in this exhibition is derived from the Law Society's archival records and is by no means exhaustive. Some details may differ from information found in other sources. The purpose of this part of the exhibition is to make our archival records accessible, so we have chosen to make available that information without alteration.

Photographs are included for a number of the entries on the Roll of Honour. Images of parts of the member record cards are included for those for whom the Law Society Archives has no photographs. Clicking on the photo or card image leads to an enlarged version of the image. Links for each name lead to information on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and Library and Archives Canada Web sites.
