Access & Use
This page contains general information and selected policies related to the use of the Great Library facilities and collections. For information about specific library collections or services see Library Collections or Library Services.
The Great Library's primary function is to meet the legal research and information needs of Law Society members by providing access to information, documents and services necessary to the practice of law.
The library is designated as a reference facility. Materials may not be removed from the library except for use in court rooms in Osgoode Hall. However, a small collection of "lending library" books (biographies, humour, etc.) may be taken from the library for two-week loan periods. Ask the staff to direct you to these books.
