Computers in the Library

The Great Library maintains workstations to provide access to electronic resources available on-site and via the Internet.

Access for Laptops
Wireless Internet access is now available in the Great Library. Coupled with virtual LAN software on laptop computers, it allows users to access files and e-mail stored on their firm or home network, while conducting their research in the library. Connectivity is now available in the Main Reading Room, Digest Extension, American Room, Computer Training Room, Reference Office and the complex of rooms containing the Periodicals and Texts collections on the first floor.

Printing from Computers
Print-outs cost 25¢ per page and can be picked up at the centre desk in the Main Reading Room.

Related Services
Law Society members and candidates in the Articling Program may access a number of online subscription databases, including LexisNexis Quicklaw, Westlaw Canada, LegalTrac and HeinOnline, at library workstations free of charge. See Databases & Article Searching for more information.
